Officiant

Judith Bacharach. Judy and Josh have been great friends since high school.

Bridesmaids

Allie McCann. Allie is Liz’s one-and-only sister, who also lives in Austin.

Lyndsay LeClair. Lyndsay’s qualifications for bridesmaid include: being born six months after Liz, growing up 20 minutes away from Liz, discussing boys with Liz since elementary school, being a professional organizer, and being one of Liz’s dozens of fabulous cousins.

Emily Hall. Emily & Liz met in college, and they soon began running & eating together daily. They were also intermittent roommates. Emily is a great friend to the Jonesworths.

Groomsmen

Dan Dilworth. Dan is Josh’s brother, who cooks at one of the best restaurants in New York. The Jonesworths owe their one good kitchen knife and much of their cooking expertise to Dan.

Zach Dilworth. Zach is Josh’s youngest brother, who has the distinction of being the first member of the Dilworth clan to approve Liz for Josh.

William Jones. Will is Liz’s brother, who currently attends Iowa State University.  If you have farming questions, he’s your man.

Music

Rebecca Zook. Rebecca is a friend Liz met in college. She is a fitting musician for the wedding because she and Liz had frequent dorm-room dance parties in college, and also because she is currently getting her master’s degree in cello performance.

Readers

Jon Gandomi. Jon is Liz’s cousin. Liz has cheered him on at many a speech contest and had many great conversations with him.

Emilie Delcourt. Emilie is traveling the furthest to get to the wedding–from Barcelona, Spain. Josh loves her early work in Walgreens radio commercials. Josh and Emilie met in college.

Matt Bartlett. Josh met Matt in college and has been beaten up by him regularly ever since. Matt can pray and curse better than anyone we know.

Hilary Thomas. Hilary and Liz lived together in Austin and met through the Austin Poetry Slam. Hilary is a great poet and very generous friend.

Noah Brick. Noah and Josh became friends at Haverford. Noah also taught Josh everything worth knowing about New York dining.

Christine Buckley. Liz and Christine were resident assistants together at a Boston University dorm housing 4,000 students. She clearly has the skills to direct unruly wedding guests.

Wedding Coordinators / Executors

Bryce Dickinson & Lou Charkoudian.  Bryce was Josh’s college roommate for four years; he & his wife Lou are organized, efficient, precise, and easy-going at the same time.  Plus, their beach wedding was awesomely fun.

Sound Engineer / Open Mic Host

Nelson Walters. Josh’s college buddy, roommate, and co-conspirator. He’s qualified to host the open mic because he makes us laugh.

Honored Guests (Mainly Because They Brought Us Life)

Curt & Mary Ellen Jones, Liz’s parents, know how to do everything.  Liz’s mother teaches home economics and also works at a sewing machine store in Spencer.  Liz’s father has farmed his entire life, and works tirelessly on behalf of his fellow corn producers.

Mary Elizabeth Maurer, Liz’s maternal grandmother, (from whom she got her name) raised 11 children and is basically the most popular octogenarian in town.

David Dilworth, Josh’s father, is a graphic designer.  Among his many talents are guitar-playing, mix-CD-making, and  soup-cooking.

Jean Prell, Josh’s maternal grandmother, shocked Liz by bursting into tears the moment they met (Liz and Josh had been dating for about 2 months at the time).  About ten seconds later, she told Josh loudly to “hang on to her!  She’s a good girl.”  A famous and terrific crier, she’s also great at partying (and paying compliments).
