Traveling to Okoboji, Iowa will likely require both flying and driving, unless you’re really ambitious! The airports in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota; Omaha, Nebraska; and Des Moines, Iowa are more or less equidistant from the wedding. We’re happy to provide advice on the relative benefits of each. From any of the airports, you would need to rent a car and drive between 2.5-4 hours to the festivities. The Sioux Falls, South Dakota airport is only about two hours from Okoboji, but it is definitely more expensive.
The latest you would want to arrive at any of these airports would be noon on Saturday to make it in time for the rehearsal dinner (all are invited). The earliest flight you could take on Sunday (without missing part of the wedding) would be 9:00 P.M. We’re likely to hold something casual on either the Friday before (August 16th) or on the Monday immediately following the wedding (August 18), but this remains TBA for now.
